“Fritha Jenkin’s work Reception inhabits the living room where hundreds of upturned glasses balance clay dug up from the foundations unseen basement of the house. Confronted with a powerful yet unnerving landscape the absurd use of materials creates a strong sense of tension. Reception transports you into an intimate alien like world.”
Documentation of room: Earth dug from beneath the room. a variety of used glasses.
“Fritha Jenkin’s work Reception looking like a meteorite storm frozen in free fall turns the living room into a site of physical negotiation with hundreds of carefully balanced glasses topped with lumps of clay dug from the basement foundations of the house. ”
