Handlings was made shortly after major surgery in 2014. The piece (surgical gloves filled with Thames tap water with stones rolled round by the river Thames in them) was delivered to the gallery with instructions for the performers to, 'take gloves and place them gently into people's hands (without speaking) Gradually extend this to placing them on the audiences shoulders/feet/knees, around and beyond the space.
